Kids on the Move
Regular activity and exercise is an important part of every child’s day. Not only does exercise help children maintain a healthy weight, it also helps them build healthy muscles, bones, and joints, sleep better at night, and feel better about themselves.
Children 2 years and older should get at least 60 minutes of exercise every day. Many children can get the exercise they need through their daily play and activities. You should limit the amount of time your children spend watching TV or playing video games.
By teaching your kids the importance of regular exercise at a young age, you can jump start a lifetime of good health and fitness.
